Getting the kids cooking and teaching them to eat healthy with k-12 Culinary Connection Jr. Chef Program.
Thirteen L.F. Henderson students participated in the k-12 Culinary Connection Jr. Chef Program last week. One student from each class donned chef hats and made their own 7 inch pizzas. Students were taught about proper hand washing, cooking techniques while making their pizzas, and learned about nutrition facts while the pizzas baked. Chef Justin Mills of k-12 Culinary Connection said, "the Jr. Chef Program is to get kids cooking and teach them how to eat healthy.”
